HPT co-organizes the successful "FRAUDGUARD CXO ROUNDTABLE 2024: REDEFINING ANTI-FRAUD STRATEGIES WITH AI/ML" seminar

Following the FraudGuard CxO Roundtable 2023 in Hanoi with the message "HAPPY FRAUD PREVENTION," the 2024 FraudGuard CxO Roundtable on financial fraud risk prevention took place on a larger scale, themed "REDEFINING ANTI-FRAUD STRATEGIES WITH AI/ML" and carrying the message "STOP FRAUD, TAKE ACTION!"

The event took place on November 28 in Ho Chi Minh City, co-organized by HPT and the Vietnam Banking Association (VNBA), along with international partners SAS Institute and Sutra Management Consultancies. It attracted a large number of senior leaders from the finance and banking sectors, providing an important forum to discuss and restructure anti-fraud strategies for banks with the support of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).

With the participation of over 142 guests, including leaders and top experts from major credit institutions in Vietnam, the event marked a larger scale and higher quality compared to previous ones, showcasing HPT's reputation and commitment to supporting banks in the fight against financial crime.

The main topics of the seminar:

  • A pioneering anti-fraud strategy based on three pillars: Technology, People, and Processes, presented by Mr. Herry Prajitno Harjono from SAS, a global expert on financial crime prevention. This opened the journey of comprehensive fraud prevention throughout the entire customer lifecycle.
  • The application of AI/ML to optimize cost management and enhance risk detection efficiency, presented in detail by Mr. Abhishek Gupta – CEO of Sutra Management Consultancies.
  • Sharing real-world success stories in Vietnam, led by Mr. Nguyen Quoc Duy – Project Manager at HPT, providing valuable insights for domestic financial and banking organizations.

He also emphasized trends and solutions that support financial organizations in effectively responding to risks within the banking system.

During the in-depth panel discussion on anti-fraud strategies titled "A Deep Dive into Anti-Fraud Strategies. Call to Action!", Mrs. Tran Xuan Quynh, Business Director of HPT Solutions, organized an engaging interactive activity to create a lively atmosphere and connect with the attendees. This activity not only fostered engagement but also incorporated questions related to anti-fraud strategies and the application of AI/ML technology, providing valuable insights that helped attendees better understand the realities of fraud prevention in banks.

Continuing the event, Mr. Nguyen Hong Quan – Member of the VNBA Council, Deputy CEO of TPBank, along with experts, delved into discussions on the challenges and solutions of implementing an anti-fraud project. These included data, real-time capabilities, the flexibility to adapt to changes in requirements from the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) and new legal frameworks, and the collective effort of society in the fight against financial crime. The panel discussion was held in a lively, flexible atmosphere, closely connecting with the audience. Mr. Nguyễn Hồng Quân once again emphasized that "Fraud prevention is a must for banks to protect their customers and their own reputation. It is the responsibility of bank leaders to find an appropriate fraud prevention solution and a reliable implementation partner."
