On 18 November 2025, the 11th Luong Van Can Talent Awards ceremony took place in Ho Chi Minh City, marking the end of a two-year journey that began in 2023. This year, Mr. Ngo Vi Dong – Chairman of HPT – once again served as a member of the Awards Council. His continued involvement reflects HPT’s commitment to developing young talent and promoting the ethical and human-centred business values inspired by the late scholar and entrepreneur Luong Van Can.

For HPT, participating in the Awards Council is more than a formal role. It is an opportunity to contribute to people development – a core pillar in the company’s sustainable growth strategy. HPT is committed to supporting education for young entrepreneurs, fostering integrity, progressive thinking, professional ethics and a strong sense of service to the community. These are the foundations of the “honourable way of doing business” advocated by Luong Van Can.

Luong Van Can Talent Awards – a holistic development journey

Initiated in 2011 by Saigon Entrepreneur Magazine, the Luong Van Can Talent Awards have become a flagship programme for nurturing young entrepreneurs. The programme is built on three pillars: business knowledge, business ethics and business capability.

In its 11th season, the programme made an important shift. Instead of focusing solely on start-up business ideas, the Awards were redesigned to identify and train individuals with strong entrepreneurial potential, helping them to develop competencies, resilience and ethical grounding.

Throughout the training journey, 20 outstanding finalists completed 47 subjects ranging from strategic thinking and operations management to business ethics and social responsibility. More than 30 business leaders and experts acted as mentors – at personal, corporate and academic levels – creating a learning model that effectively combines theory, practice and critical thinking.

In parallel, community projects such as “The 18+ Life Journey”, “BuddyUp” and “DNA – Unlock Yourself” continued to be implemented. These initiatives help participants build a spirit of service and social responsibility – qualities that Luong Van Can considered essential to responsible entrepreneurship.

Impressive results from the 11th season

From a pool of more than 2,000 students representing 17 universities nationwide, the programme selected 20 finalists for the last round and honoured 9 Luong Van Can Talents. This year’s projects were highly regarded for combining creativity, sustainability and human values. They covered diverse fields such as agricultural by-product upcycling, circular fashion, organic farming, applied AI and community-based business models.

A key strength of the programme is that the award does not mark the end of the journey. After the ceremony, the talents continue to receive one-on-one mentoring to further develop their business models in real life, creating positive and lasting impact for the community.
