HPT Participates in the 2024 Year-Opening Meeting Organized by the Southern Information Security Association

On the afternoon of March 22, 2024, the Southern Information Security Association (VNISA South) organized the 2024 Year-Opening Meeting for its Members, government regulatory agencies, sponsoring organizations, supporters of the Association's activities, and its allies. HPT's leadership attended the event, including Mr. Ngo Vi Dong - Chairman of the Board of Directors of HPT and Chairman of VNISA South; Mr. Dinh Ha Duy Linh - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO; Mr. Trinh Ngoc Minh - Director of Technology Development and Director of HPT Training Center, and a member of the Executive Committee of VNISA South; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam - Deputy CEO and Director of HSE Center. Additionally, the event saw the direct involvement of several HPT staff members in the organizational work, contributing to the success of this annual event.

In particular, besides the presence of the entire Executive Committee of the Association, VNISA South had the honor of hosting Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung - President of the Vietnam Information Security Association, Mr. Lam Dinh Thang - Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Nguyen Huu Nguyen - Representative of the Department of Cybersecurity, Ministry of Information and Communications in Ho Chi Minh City, and many other leaders from government regulatory agencies and local departments.

The annual gathering, organized by VNISA South, aims to provide opportunities for networking, fostering connections, and sharing among members about the Association's positive activities in the past year, as well as exchanging views on the future direction of information security. This year's meeting saw Members, Government Agencies, Partners, and media agencies engaging in a panel discussion on "Protecting Personal Data in Vietnam," led by Mr. Trinh Ngoc Minh. With in-depth analysis of Decree 13/2023/NĐ-CP, Mr. MinhTN highlighted key points and recommendations for businesses when implementing it in their organizations. VNISA hopes to help businesses promptly understand legal regulations and proactively comply better when operating in the digital age, thereby minimizing cybersecurity risks

Amidst the warm and solemn atmosphere of the gathering, VNISA South expressed gratitude to Members who have made significant contributions to the Association in 2023. During the meeting, representatives from VNISA South shared details of the Association's activities plan for 2024. On this occasion, VNISA South also introduced a notable annual activity - the "International Conference and Exhibition on Information Security in the Southern Region 2024," which will be held in August 2024 by the Vietnam Information Security Association - Southern Branch, in collaboration with the Department of Cybersecurity - Ministry of Information and Communications, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, and the Department of Information & Communications of Ho Chi Minh City, with the theme "Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning in Cybersecurity and Automated Response to Unusual Threats." The event is expected to attract the interest of technology and cybersecurity experts in the ICT and information security fields.

In addition to the significant significance of the event, it was also an occasion for the Association's Executive Committee to express gratitude for the active contributions of members and listen to their feedback to develop the 2024 activity plan, with the hope that the Association will continue to grow and contribute more professional knowledge to the community. Notably, the suggestions and proposals from Mr. Lam Dinh Thang - Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City to VNISA South were highlighted. This is seen as a positive signal of the government's concern about interactions and feedback on information security issues amidst the Digital Transformation initiatives in Ho Chi Minh City.
