HPT is the first Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) of Cisco in Vietnam

The model of providing technology solutions in general and Information Security (IT) solutions in particular has followed the traditional business model for decades, including product introduction - sales - integration - Product warranty. However, the solution is becoming more and more complex, and information security is "consuming" a lot of costs and time of businesses while businesses still have many problems that need to focus on key economic activities. With the desire to support organizations managing security issues, HPT focuses its resources on building a security managed service (MSSP). At the same time, HPT also cooperates closely with Cisco to become the first partner in Vietnam to provide security managed services (MSSP), initially providing services to customers with the world's leading security technologies of Cisco.

This security monitoring and management service helps to protect the system well and develops customer security management. HPT provides customers with protection inside and outside the network from network attacks, preventing threats from reaching a network or endpoint. This service is simpler and more manageable, helping customers to avoid complicated system management.


HPT is the first MSSP for Cisco Umbrella and AMP for Endpoints from May 2019. This is a turning point of leading the trend and market. Beside practical benefits for customers such as: easy to deploy, optimize operating costs, apply new technologies, minimize risks when the system is monitored 24/7, customers will be upgraded security of the organization.

First, in terms of service capacity, to become a Cisco MSSP partner, HPT is forced to undergo rigorous testing of competence, team building and commitment to quality of service. This is both a challenge and an opportunity to help HPT focus resources on security management tools, ensure the commitment of quality and professionalism to provide services to customers. Now, HPT is the only unit with sufficient capacity and resources to provide security managed services recognized by Cisco in Vietnam.

Secondly, in terms of technology transfer, becoming a Cisco MSSP partner means that HPT has channels of expert exchange and technology transfer directly with Cisco's security experts worldwide. This is a transfer from both sides, HPT has access to valuable and extensive security and research resources of Cisco, whereas Cisco receives contributions and research on security of HPT to complete the product. HPT and Cisco create a network of close coordination between technology and security services.

Thirdly, in terms of business, HPT cooperates with Cisco to provide products and services to customers, helping to expand the market of both sides. When customers need security management services, Cisco will immediately find a security management unit to help customers. In particular, in Vietnam market, HPT is the first partner for this position. And vice versa, when HPT needs to provide security management services for customers, Cisco security products will be effective support tools proposed by HPT for customers.

Fourth, in terms of cost, the character of licensed software products is monthly costs. As well as Cisco's security products, customers are required to pay a minimum of 12 months in advance for the product if purchased normally (GPL). However, MSSP is a case in the HPT and Cisco partner agreement that allows customers pay cost later on actual monthly use. Along with the special preferential policies on prices for MSSP, HPT has the advantages of providing security managed services to customers with optimal and competitive costs.

The security managed service provider (MSSP) model is a global trend that is demonstrating the value in terms of benefits and costs provided to customers. Becoming the first Cisco MSSP in Vietnam is the first step for HPT to create motivation and business advantages for many other security managed services and completely within the strategy and orientation of HPT's service development. Currently, HPT is promoting consultancy and security managed services.

In Vietnam's current market, only HPT is certified as MSSP to perform Cisco Security Services for customers. In particular, HPT can exchange experts, transfer technology, take advantage of resources and security capabilities of Cisco, centralized MSSP system of Cisco to bring customers not only professional security managed services but also optimized operation costs.
