On March 15, 2024, the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (HCA) organized the Eighth Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (2024 - 2029) - Commemoration of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (1988 - 2023), with the participation of over 400 delegates representing leadership from management agencies, localities, organizations, associations, partner institutions, central and local media agencies, and all members of the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association.

The leadership of HPT attending the Congress included Mr. Ngo Vi Dong - Chairman of the Board of Directors of HPT - Chairman of the Southern Information Security Association (VNISA South), Mr. Dinh Ha Duy Linh - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors cum General Director of HPT, and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam - Deputy General Director cum Director of HSE Department.

Mr. Ngo Vi Dong - Chairman of the Board of Directors of HPT - Chairman of the Southern Information Security Association; Mr. Dinh Ha Duy Linh - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors cum General Director of HPT participated in the congress.

The leadership team along with representatives from HPT participated in the congress.

The Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association is a gathering place for experts and enthusiasts in the IT industry to disseminate knowledge, introduce and promote technology, and drive market development. Beyond the scope of Ho Chi Minh City, the Association has organized activities for cooperation, innovation, and creativity among businesses from various localities to explore opportunities for mutual development, thereby expanding opportunities to promote new markets and accompanying member businesses throughout the 35-year journey.

The Eighth Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (2024 - 2029) - Commemoration of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (1988 - 2023) included three sessions:

1. Internal session: Congress program summarizing the Seventh term (2018 - 2023) and Election of the Executive Committee, and approval of the action program for the Eighth term (2024 - 2029).
2. Official session:
   • HCA Exhibition - Convergence of Success
   • Introduction of the Executive Committee of HCA for the Eighth term (2024 - 2029)
   • HCA Talkshow: "Affirming the Value of Technology & the Power of Connectivity"
3. Congress Celebration & Commemoration Ceremony for the 35th anniversary of the establishment of HCA.

Through the election results and internal session resolutions, the Congress unanimously elected the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association for the Eighth term (2024 - 2029), consisting of 27 members representing over 460 association members, possessing the required qualities and qualifications to fulfill the important tasks entrusted by the Congress. Among them, Mr. Dinh Ha Duy Linh - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors cum General Director of HPT was elected to the Executive Committee and joined the Standing Committee for the Eighth term (equivalent to the position of Vice Chairman of HCA).

After more than 2 serious and responsible sessions, the Eighth Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (2024 - 2029) passed important documents and agreed on 05 key tasks, setting a strong direction for HCA in the Eighth term (2024 - 2029) in line with development trends, as follows:

1. Continue to build a professional IT professional association with good reputation, serving the interests of members, and being a common home for the city's IT community.

2. Enhance the quality of support activities and connect members through activities that expand the scale and quality of market promotion events in domestic and strong IT countries.

3. Promote digital transformation, green transformation, and ESG (environmental, social, and governance) for members and the business community. Clearly demonstrate the role of the Association in the city's and country's digital transformation activities.

4. Promote the development of the startup ecosystem through innovation based on digital technology platforms.

5. Continuously update new technology trends through academic activities, helping members access new technologies and solutions.

Especially, during the official session of the Congress on the same day, the HCA Talkshow took place: "Affirming the Value of Technology & the Power of Connectivity". At this talkshow, Mr. Ngo Vi Dong - Chairman of the Board of Directors of HPT - Chairman of the Southern Information Security Association (VNISA South) participated with experts and guests in the IT field to share useful information about the industry and affirm the value of connectivity of typical member associations like HCA and VNISA in the face of the booming development of information technology today.

As one of the active members, always accompanying the activities of HCA, within the framework of the Eighth Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (2024 - 2029) - Commemoration of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (1988 - 2023), HPT also participated in the Business Area "HCA - Convergence of Success" to exhibit products/solutions, aiming to approach potential customers, exchange with industry peers. Specifically, HPT showcased and introduced 4 products/solutions:

In the evening of the same day, the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association organized a Ceremony to Commemorate the 35th Anniversary of its establishment. In the solemn atmosphere of the ceremony, HPT was honored as one of the 04 outstanding units awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for excellent collaboration with HCA in completing the tasks of the Seventh term, making significant contributions, and always accompanying in building and developing HCA.

Moreover, HPT also received the Sponsorship Memorial from the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association. This is a recognition for the positive contributions of HPT to the development of the information technology industry in Ho Chi Minh City and for the activities of HCA over the years.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam - Deputy General Director cum Director of HSE Division representing HPT received a commemorative medal from HCA.
